Baseball Game Preview: Westside Christian Eagles vs. Horizon Christian Hawks

Westside Christian is 0-6 against Horizon Christian since April of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will take on the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Westside Christian has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westside Christian lost 14-3 to Banks on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Horizon Christian got the win against Rainier on Saturday by a conclusive 19-1. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Horizon Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Westside Christian, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Westside Christian came up short against Horizon Christian when the teams last played back in April, falling 5-1. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
