The Wayne Blue Devils will face off against the Platteview Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Wayne didn't have quite enough to beat Norfolk and fell 2-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodey Munter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Platteview didn't have quite enough to beat Arlington on Monday and fell 4-3.

Platteview also got a good showing from Bryson Douglas, who struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, Lance Christiansen made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Layton Visocky, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Platteview, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
