After each having a week off, the North Paulding Wolfpack and the Lowndes Vikings will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Paulding took a loss when they played away from home back in October, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They came out on top against Marietta by a score of 38-28. The Wolfpack's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to James Skelly and Khalil Harrell. Skelly rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry while Harrell rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. North Paulding is undefeated when Harrell posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dube Enongene, who gained 63 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lowndes had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it four last Friday. They walked away with a 30-20 win over the Wildcats.

Lowndes had a senior duo take command as Marvis Parrish rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries and Aalim Brown rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Parrish's longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards.

Lowndes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Lowndes' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.9 points. As for North Paulding, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
