Football Preview: North Paulding Wolfpack vs. Lowndes Vikings
After each having a week off, the North Paulding Wolfpack and the Lowndes Vikings will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Paulding took a loss when they played away from home back in October, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. Lowndes had a senior duo take command as Marvis Parrish rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries and Aalim Brown rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Parrish's longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards.
Lowndes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.
Lowndes' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.9 points.
