Volleyball Recap: Sammamish Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sammamish can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Inglemoor Vikings on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Sammamish ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.

Leading Inglemoor to victory were Francine Hernandez and Hailey Chi. Hernandez had ten digs and two assists, while Chi had 32 assists and 11 digs. Chi is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season.

Sammamish has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Inglemoor, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6.

As of now, neither Sammamish nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
