Football Recap: Minden Falls Despite Big Games from Parker Hatch and Logan Verbeck + How To Watch

Minden extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They took a hard 45-28 fall against the Cozad Haymakers. The Whippets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Haymakers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Minden's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Verbeck, who rushed for 105 yards and two TDs, and Parker Hatch, who rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.

As for Cozad, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 5.45 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.43 in the others.

Olliver Davis produced another solid effort rushing for 158 yards and four scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 131 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards. Bryson Snider was Davis' top target, picking up eight receiving yards.

As of now, neither Minden nor Cozad have any future games scheduled.
