Football Game Preview: Arthur County Wolves vs. Sioux County Warriors

Arthur County is a perfect 4-0 against Sioux County since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolves will host the Warriors at 1:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Arthur County was fully in charge, breezing past Cody-Kilgore 62-16. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won three contests by 36 points or more so far this season.

Jaycen Hanna had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 212 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arthur County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Arthur County's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Colton Pilakowski and Camden Mironenko, who racked up all six sacks between them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sioux County). They claimed a resounding 57-12 victory over Minatare. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

Arthur County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sioux County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Arthur County against Sioux County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 52-18 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
