Softball Recap: Upland Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Upland's offense. They fell just short of the Ayala Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Highlanders/Scots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The loss snapped Upland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ayala, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upland will square off against West Covina at 3:15 p.m. on March 10th. As for Ayala, they will take on Glendora at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ayala is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
