Basketball Recap: Stearns Comes Up Short

Stearns lost against Schenck back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Stearns Minutemen were outmatched by the Schenck Wolverines and fell 69-37. The game marked the Minutemen's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Stearns and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Schenck, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Stearns and Penobscot Valley will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stearns is facing Penobscot Valley at the right time seeing as Penobscot Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Schenck, they will square off against Machias at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Machias will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Schenck surely won't give up without a fight.
