Basketball Game Preview: Millersport Lakers vs. Grove City Christian Eagles

Millersport is 0-10 against Grove City Christian since February of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The Millersport Lakers will host the Grove City Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Grove City Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Millersport, who comes in off a win.

Millersport is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Miller: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Millersport's way against Miller on Friday as Millersport made off with a 64-41 win. The Lakers pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Grove City Christian lost 48-28 to Fisher Catholic on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while the Irish are ranked 286th).

Grove City Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Millersport, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Millersport came up short against Grove City Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 55-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Grove City Christian's Sarah Karlich, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards.
