Recap: Central Cobras vs. Centennial Eagles

Even though the Central Cobras have not done well against the Centennial Eagles recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Central came out on top against Centennial by a score of 68-56. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Central considering their zero-point performance the matchup before.

HARMON RANDOLPH was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. RANDOLPH is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Centennial's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jailyn Williams, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Parson, who scored 11 points along with four steals.

Even though they lost, Centennial were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only posted three assists.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Vero Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Centennial, they will head out on the road to square off against Martin County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
