Softball Recap: First Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

First Baptist Academy was the 7-6 winner over King's Academy when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ava Jennings put in work no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Jennings wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Harbison, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

First Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for King's Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, First Baptist Academy and King's Academy will both be playing Christian Academy of Knoxville the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
