Baseball Recap: Menendez Has No Trouble Against Rickards

The Menendez Falcons got the win against the Rickards Raiders on Saturday by a conclusive 10-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Brooks Cornelison was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing four bases. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Mitchell, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Menendez's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Rickards, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Menendez will head out to face off against Matanzas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Matanzas will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Rickards, they will square off against Florida State University High School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florida State University High School has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.76 runs per game on average), something Rickards will no doubt try to take advantage of.
