            Softball Preview: Logan Wildcats vs. Spring Valley Timberwolves        
        
		
        
        
            The Logan Wildcats will head out to  challenge the Spring Valley Timberwolves  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Logan is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Logan had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Huntington on Saturday. Logan blew past Huntington 14-7. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.

 Myleigh Adkins made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  firing off two  home runs while going 2-for-4. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Lauren Adkins was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4. What's more,  she posted two  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024.  Lacy Curry also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Logan  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huntington struck out 11 times.
 Meanwhile, Spring Valley faced Hurricane in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Spring Valley took  a  7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hurricane. The Timberwolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Logan's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Spring Valley, their  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
