Carson Maymo put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Wednesday. He struck out five batters over 5.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Hart's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 6-2 (and 7-8 when he doesn't).

Maymo's strong effort led Hart over Canyon and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
