Volleyball Recap: Texas City Comes Up Short

Texas City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Friendswood Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-7.

Among those leading the charge was Haley Patton, who had ten digs and two aces.

Texas City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Friendswood, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 30-8.

Coincidentally, Texas City and Friendswood will both be playing Ball the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tornadoes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Stingarees will host them at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st.
