Tarboro hasn't had much luck against Perquimans recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will take on the Pirates. Tarboro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Tarboro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Hobbton. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cole Craddock was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mason Satterfield, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Perquimans got the win against Jones on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-2. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.
Ben Brown was excellent, earning three RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Askew, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Perquimans hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Perquimans has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Tarboro, their record now sits at 13-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tarboro has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Perquimans struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tarboro couldn't quite finish off Perquimans in their previous meeting back in April and fell 6-4. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
