Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chavez on Friday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Yuba City Honkers by a score of 4-3 on Friday.

Mallory Wagner was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Yuba City, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-2-1.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will face off against St. Mary's at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Yuba City, they will take on Manteca in a tournament on Saturday. The Honkers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buffaloes have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
