Baseball Recap: Marianapolis Prep Comes Up Short

Marianapolis Prep was the 9-2 winner over Varsity Opponent when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Knights fell 8-4 to Varsity Opponent on Wednesday. The Golden Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Owen Richardson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Lee, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Marianapolis Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marianapolis Prep will take on Dexter Southfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will square off against Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
