Basketball Recap: Kaleigh Wooldridge's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Millsap over Tolar

Millsap was the 56-46 winner over Tolar when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Millsap Bulldogs fell 48-35 to the Tolar Rattlers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1131st, while the Rattlers are ranked 302nd).

Millsap lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaleigh Wooldridge, who posted nine points and six steals. Wooldridge has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Cori Ground was another key player, putting up eight points.

Millsap's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Tolar, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Millsap wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 30-17 loss against Peaster on the 20th. As for Tolar, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-39 victory against Eastland on the 20th.
