Amador took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against El Dorado, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Buffaloes had just enough and edged out the Cougars 10-9 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Buffaloes, who suffered a 14-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Sliwak, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Sliwak wasn't the only one making solid contact: Amador kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Dorado only managed eight hits.

Amador's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11-1. As for El Dorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Amador will have a chance to go back-to-back against El Dorado: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
