The River Dell Golden Hawks will take on the Paramus Spartans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. River Dell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

River Dell is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against New Milford on Sunday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Kevin Good was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Jordan Mellaci was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Nagle, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Paramus suffered their closest loss since May 13, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Teaneck by a score of 6-4.

Paramus has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for River Dell, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
