Soccer Game Preview: Folsom vs. Jesuit

The Folsom Bulldogs will square off against the Jesuit Marauders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Folsom's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Folsom is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Davis Sr. on Tuesday. Folsom fell just short of Davis Sr. by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 54th).

Meanwhile, Jesuit fell victim to Rocklin and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Marauders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Folsom's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-3. As for Jesuit, they now have a losing record at 3-4-5.
