It's playoff time, and Montabella had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Merrill Vandals get on the board and left with a 26-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.

Brady Kieff continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 104 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September. Bryce Willis got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Montabella's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Cody Omo was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Omo is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Tuff Rood was another major factor on D, making eight total tackles and defending five passes.

The victory made it two in a row for Montabella and bumps their season record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points in those games. As for Merrill, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Montabella will take on Norway at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Merrill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
