Basketball Recap: Bainbridge Comes Up Short

If Bainbridge was feeling good fresh off their 52-32 takedown of Peach County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bainbridge Bearcats took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dougherty Trojans on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Bainbridge lost, don't look at Kyra Green. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 11 to rack up 12 points and five rebounds. Ja'Keelah Cosby also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Bainbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Dougherty, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

Bainbridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-34 win against Westover on the 6th. Dougherty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
