Baseball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Newport - Bellevue's offense. They came up short against the Lake Washington Kangaroos on Tuesday, falling 7-0. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly seven runs.

Newport - Bellevue saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Zhang, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double marked the first that Zhang hit this season.

Newport - Bellevue dropped their record down to 0-8-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lake Washington, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue will welcome Eastlake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lake Washington, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Woodinville at 7:00 p.m.
