Softball Recap: Ogilvie Takes a Loss

Ogilvie came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Braham Bombers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bombers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in April.

Ogilvie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruby Beier, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Ali Beck also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

With the defeat, Ogilvie broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5. As for Braham, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Ogilvie will welcome Swanville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Braham, they will head out to face off against Mayer Lutheran at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
