Basketball Game Preview: St. George's Gryphons vs. Battle Ground Academy Wildcats

The St. George's Gryphons will venture away from home to take on the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. George's will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

St. George's can't be too worried about heading out to take on Battle Ground Academy: they just beat Christian Academy of Knoxville at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. St. George's walked away with a 51-39 win over Christian Academy of Knoxville on Saturday.

St. George's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Jones, who posted 13 points. Carson Crump was another key player, putting up 14 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Battle Ground Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Boyd-Buchanan on Saturday, taking the game 60-52.

Battle Ground Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season. St. George's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-6.
