Everything went their way against the Maroons as they made off with a 67-41 victory. Given Phillips' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Chicago University is ranked 623rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Lawrence Horton, who scored 18 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Benjamin, who scored nine points along with three steals.
