Ashton Carter Delivers Electric Effort Vs Noblesville

Starting off the list is Avon's Ashton Carter, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Carter rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.

Carter and Avon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brownsburg at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st. The matchup will pit Carter up against the Bulldogs' star rusher Brady Lewis. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Westfield Gets a Boost from King in 44-7 Victory

Deacon King was instrumental in extending Westfield's winning streak to three on Friday. Nobody could stop King as he rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Westfield's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. King and Westfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Carsen Melvin Makes It Two for Westfield

Another Westfield player making an appearance on this list is Carsen Melvin. He threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

For the year, Melvin has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 155.6 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 6.33 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 17.11 rushing yards.

Alex Burke's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Brownsburg over Hamilton Southeastern

Brownsburg was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Alex Burke did his best to prevent it. Burke turned in nothing short of a gem, making 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

Burke is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Avon on Friday. Burke picked up 1.5 sacks, forced a fumble, and made eight total tackles (3.5 for loss) the last time he and the Orioles duked it out back in September.
