Softball Game Preview: Corning Bobcats vs. Rector Cougars

The Corning Bobcats will take on the Rector Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Corning's victory against Marmaduke wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Greyhounds 13-12. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Rector got the win against Bay on Monday by a conclusive 18-3. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 13 runs or more this season.

Corning's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Rector, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Everything went Corning's way against Rector in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Corning made off with a 15-6 victory. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
