Baseball Recap: Manual Takes a Loss

If Manual was feeling good fresh off their 19-7 takedown of Denver West on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunderbolts lost 10-1 to the Lincoln Lancers on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts have struggled against the Lancers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Manual saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josue Salas, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Manual's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Manual will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.93 runs per game on average), something the Thunderbolts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to square off against Kennedy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Commanders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
