Thornton Academy has gone 8-2 against Bonny Eagle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Last Friday, Thornton Academy earned a 65-54 win over Biddeford. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Tigers are ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Bonny Eagle had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 64-59 W over Sanford on Wednesday.

Bonny Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Thornton Academy, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Thornton Academy beat Bonny Eagle 59-48 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Thornton Academy repeat their success, or does Bonny Eagle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
