Volleyball Recap: Green Mountain Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Green Mountain can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Battle Mountain Huskies on Friday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Addie Evans paced Green Mountain's offense, picking up ten kills. Evans got some help from Neva Cook and her 33 assists. Avery Brennan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Evie Steinberg had a dynamite game For Battle Mountain., getting 29 digs and two aces. Those 29 digs gave Steinberg a new career-high.

Green Mountain has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-9 record this season. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Green Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Battle Mountain, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Standley Lake on the 14th.
