Football Game Preview: Grapevine Mustangs vs. Mansfield Timberview Wolves + How To Watch

The Grapevine Mustangs will square off against the Mansfield Timberview Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grapevine is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Grapevine lost to The Colony on the road by a 38-23 margin.

Despite the defeat, Grapevine had strong showings from Jake Graham, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and Jailen Holmes, who rushed for 13 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mansfield Timberview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Burleson 28-13 on Friday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Elks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mansfield Timberview found their leader in sophomore Steven Hall, who threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Hall has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Grapevine's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mansfield Timberview, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Grapevine was taken down by Mansfield Timberview 55-10 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 34-3.
