Softball Recap: Long Beach Comes Up Short

Long Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the St. Martin Yellow Jackets, falling 11-3. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellow Jackets from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Long Beach's record now sits at 0-3. As for St. Martin, their record now sits at 4-2.

Looking ahead, Long Beach will be playing in front of their home fans against Poplarville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Martin, they will challenge St. Patrick at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Martin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so St. Patrick's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
