Mantachie can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on the Wheeler Eagles with a sharp 15-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win got Mantachie back to even at 6-6. As for Wheeler, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Mantachie will look to defend their home field on Monday against Caledonia at 4:30 p.m. Caledonia's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Mantachie's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wheeler, they will square off against East Union at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. East Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
