Recap: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. Greenwood Wildcats
The Tri-Valley Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Greenwood Wildcats, and things went their way on Saturday too. Tri-Valley secured a 44-39 W over Greenwood. Given Tri-Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Greenwood is ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tri-Valley was led to victory by Blake Schwartz and Layne Yoder. Schwartz dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Yoder scored 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Yoder hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Owen Miller, who scored five points along with three steals.
Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Greenwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.
Tri-Valley on the road again on Tuesday and play against Williams Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Greenwood, they will be playing at home against East Juniata at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
