Basketball Recap: Belleville West Takes a Loss

Belleville West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 68-56 to the Marian Catholic Spartans.

Belleville West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Marian Catholic, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Belleville West will take on Althoff Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Althoff Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Belleville West likes a good challenge. As for Marian Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenwood at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
