Preview: Caston Comets vs. North White Vikings
The Caston Comets will head out on the road to face off against the North White Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Caston is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Caston fell victim to Knox's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Redskins, falling 50-0. While losing is never fun, Caston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Knox is ranked 55th).
Meanwhile, North White is still undefeated this season after their matchup against West Central on Thursday, but West Central came as close as anyone has to beating them. North White skirted past West Central 20-18.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North White to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Quasebarth, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 66 yards and a touchdown on only four passes. North White also got a significant boost from C.J. Hunt, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
North White's win bumped their season record to 9-0 while Caston's loss dropped theirs to 1-8.
Caston came up short against North White in their previous meeting back in September, falling 14-6. Can Caston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
