Basketball Recap: Jackson Cook Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Southern Guilford + How To Watch

While Randleman's victory against Southern Guilford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Storm 49-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since January 18th.

Randleman's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Cook, who posted nine points and three steals. Those three steals gave Cook a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Burnett, who earned ten points.

Randleman was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Guilford only posted three.

Southern Guilford's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyson Cole, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Fapojuwo, who had 12 points and six rebounds.

Randleman has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Randleman will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Providence Grove at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Southern Guilford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-50 defeat against Lexington Senior on the 26th.
