Baseball Game Preview: Paxton Bobcats vs. Pleasant Home Eagles

The Paxton Bobcats will square off against the Pleasant Home Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Monday, Paxton came up short against Destin and fell 7-3. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colby Vaiyanet made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Phillip Bearden also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Goshen, falling 21-9.

John Luke Colvin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Jack Wiggins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Pleasant Home's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Paxton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything went Paxton's way against Pleasant Home in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Paxton made off with a 16-0 win. Does Paxton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pleasant Home turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
