Football Recap: Borrego Springs Extends Winning Streak to Three

Borrego Springs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over the Julian Eagles. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Borrego Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christopher Alcaraz led the charge by rushing for 72 yards and two scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Alcaraz has posted since back in October of 2024. Maurico Rodriguez was in the mix too, providing Borrego Springs with two TDs.

Borrego Springs' defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Borrego Springs' record now sits at 3-0. As for Julian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Julian will face off against Calvin Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Borrego Springs will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against the Crusaders, they'll take on Borrego Springs again at 3:30 p.m. on October 3.
