Softball Game Preview: Smidt Tech Grey Wolves vs. ESAT Grizzlies

The Smidt Tech Grey Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the ESAT Grizzlies at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Smidt Tech took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Rise Kohyang 19-7. The Grey Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, ESAT made easy work of Alliance Bloomfield on Tuesday and carried off a 33-18 win.

Smidt Tech now has a winning record of 3-2. As for ESAT, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Smidt Tech suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to ESAT when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Grey Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
