Western Tech & Environmental Science barely beat Lansdowne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines blew past the Vikings 13-2 on Friday. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Ella Durham made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Bailey Allen and Juliahna Thomas did most of the damage at the plate: Allen went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Thomas got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Averie Talley was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Western Tech & Environmental Science always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .583 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Western Tech & Environmental Science pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Lansdowne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Western Tech & Environmental Science will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
