Erie skates past Oswego with ease

The Erie Red Devils's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past Oswego 52-18 on the road. That 34 points margin sets a new team best for Erie this season.

Erie was led to victory by Jacksen Powell and Alexandra Pasquarelli. Powell scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Pasquarelli scored 16 points along with three blocks and two steals. Pasquarelli is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaeleigh Daniels, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Erie's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Oswego, they bumped their record down to 1-11-1 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Erie and Fredonia will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Oswego, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
