Notus can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the North Star Huskies 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Huskies back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Notus was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-8, 21-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Lauren Nelson paced Notus' offense, picking up six kills. Nelson got some help from Kendall Woodland and her 12 assists. Finally, Baylee Clelland kept Notus' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Notus' win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for North Star, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

As of now, neither Notus nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
