            If Jefferson-Morgan was riding high  fresh off their  64-33 takedown of Carmichaels last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jefferson-Morgan Rockets took a hard  55-38 fall against the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers on Tuesday. The  game marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.

 Jefferson-Morgan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Dayten Marion, who  went 6 of 11  on his way to 12  points in addition to seven  boards and five  blocks. Marion has been hot, having  posted two or more  blocks the last five times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Houston Guesman, who  posted ten points and three  steals.
Jefferson-Morgan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Chartiers-Houston, their victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-2.
 Jefferson-Morgan will head out to  face off against Waynesburg Central  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Chartiers-Houston, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Fort Cherry  at 7:30  p.m. Chartiers-Houston knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Fort Cherry likes a good challenge.
