Football Game Preview: Atlantic Eagles vs. Spanish River Sharks

Atlantic is 0-5 against Spanish River since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Atlantic Eagles will head out to take on the Spanish River Sharks at 7:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Atlantic will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Boca Raton on Wednesday. Atlantic really took it to Boca Raton for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-7 win. Considering the Eagles' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Spanish River put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Palm Beach Central a 31-0 shutout. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Broncos are ranked 53rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spanish River's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Atlantic, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Atlantic suffered a grim 32-7 defeat to Spanish River in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Atlantic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
