Baseball Recap: Lower Moreland Lions vs. New Hope-Solebury Lions
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lower Moreland and New Hope-Solebury meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Lower Moreland fell just short of New Hope-Solebury by a score of 6-5. Lower Moreland was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced New Hope-Solebury earlier this season, when they won 3-0.
James Cronin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Horsnall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Lower Moreland now has a losing record of 3-4. As for New Hope-Solebury, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
