Basketball Recap: Temple Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Temple Baptist Academy played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers, falling 61-21. The Royal Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.

Clayton-Bradley Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Adkins, who posted 19 points along with eight steals and six assists. Adkins is becoming a predictor of Clayton-Bradley Academy's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when she doesn't). Emma Bault was another key player, putting up 20 points along with six boards and five assists.

Temple Baptist Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.
